Spatio-temporal instabilities (Hennequin, Verkerk). This operation aims to study the classical motion of atoms in a 2D optical potential, as well as, the spatio-temporal instabilities in the magneto-optical trap. The study of the instabilities of the MOT presents some analogies with the physics of plasma and astrophysics. Furthermore, in a 2D square optical lattice, the key role of synchronization to inhibit chaos has been demonstrated.
