PREVENTION
Occupational risk prevention encompasses all the measures to be implemented in order to preserve the health and safety of staff, improve working conditions and promote well-being at work.
The research activities of the PhLAM laboratory cover several scientific fields, and the risks to which personnel are exposed vary accordingly: laser risk, biological risk and chemical risk.
The Prevention Service is composed of 4 Prevention Advisors (3 in building P5 – Cité Scientifique, 1 at the IRCICA site), 2 Laser Safety Officers (one for building P5 – Cité Scientifique, one for the IRCICA site), one Chemical Products Officer (for both P5 and IRCICA), and one Radiation Protection Competent Person (RPCP) for IRCICA.
The 4 Prevention Advisors play an advisory role to the Directorate on occupational risk prevention and are responsible for drafting the Single Occupational Risk Assessment Document.
