MECHANICAL SERVICE

The Mechanical Workshop provides essential design and manufacturing expertise for the laboratory's experimental activities and innovative developments. Its main missions are:

  • Carrying out design studies (CAD), prototyping and experimental assemblies.
  • Performing precision mechanics, sheet metal work, machining and 3D printing.
  • Making available a range of modern equipment, including:
    • A 5-axis milling machine,
    • A 4-axis CNC lathe,
    • A drill press, a cutting machine, a band saw,
    • A welding station,
    • 3D printing systems for metals, polymers and biopolymers.
  • Meeting needs in micromechanics, microfluidics, optics, nanostructures, ultra-high vacuum, cryogenics and microscopy.
