Congratulations, Tamara!

Tamara Shaaban is the winner of the 2025 “Marie Skłodowska-Curie” Thesis Prize for her work titled: “Theoretical and Experimental Exploration of the Physicochemical and Spectroscopic Properties of Protactinium (V).”
Tamara completed her thesis as part of the PCMT team at the PhLAM laboratory. She is currently a research engineer on a fixed-term contract in the same team, where she continues her research activities.
Awarded since 2021 by the CRRC division in partnership with the ACJC (Curie-Joliot-Curie Association), this prestigious prize recognizes outstanding theses in radiochemistry and radiation chemistry. It aims to place the winners’ work within the scientific legacy of Marie Curie.
Awarded to young PhD graduates who defended their theses within the past year at a French university, this prize recognizes the quality, originality, and impact of research conducted in these fields.

This distinction recognizes the excellence of Tamara Shaaban’s work, as well as the quality of the research conducted at the PhLAM laboratory.
