Congratulations, Monika!

Photonique Expositions Vie du labo

The PhLAM Laboratory is proud to honour one of its members: Monika Bouet.

A research engineer, Monika has joined the ambassadors for the Hauts-de-France 2026 edition of the exhibition “La science taille XX elles”.

In her day-to-day work, she applies her expertise to the design, manufacture and characterisation of optical fibre preforms. Much more than just a researcher, this profile also highlights Monika’s tremendous commitment within the laboratory as equality/parity officer, health and safety officer, chemical risks officer, and ITA/ITRF representative on the Unit Council… All these roles make our Unit a safer, more inclusive and more people-centred place of research.

Organised by the CNRS Hauts-de-France in partnership with the University of Lille and the Femmes & Sciences association, the exhibition dedicated to the women driving science forward is currently on display on the railings of Jean-Baptiste Lebas Park in Lille, until 20 June.
