Alessandro Furlan and Laurent Héliot co-authored an article in the journal eLife (IF 7.5), which elucidates the role of the MET receptor in the processes of cell death and survival. In particular, the authors show that this receptor is capable of amplifying the death of hepatocytes under stress, and belongs to the family of so-called dependence receptors. In addition to shedding light on the architecture of cell signaling, this interdisciplinary work could open the door to new therapeutic strategies in the field of cancers > https://elifesciences.org/articles/50041
