Reactive oxygen species and other radicals are involved in a variety of biological phenomena, such as mutation, carcinogenesis, degenerative and other diseases, inflammation, aging, and development.
The objectives of the Symposium "Controlling and probing oxidative phenomena in biological systems" are to describe and control oxidative stress phenomena in living organsims either to examine the biological targets susceptible to oxidation and the defense mechanisms of the organism or for therapeutical applications.
