Visit of the Synchrotron SOLEIL by the students of Master 2 SCOL

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the students of the Master 2 SCOL (Complex Systems, Optics and Lasers) took advantage of a long technical stop to visit the SOLEIL Synchrotron. They followed the path of the electrons, from production to acceleration, to storage in the main ring of SOLEIL where the electrons generate very intense synchrotron radiation ranging from infrared to X-rays. This radiation is then used by the light lines to study matter at different scales.

The students benefited from the support of the Labex CEMPI for this visit.
