2) Experiments

a) Potassium experiment

This is our main challenge for the next five years. Based on a potassium BEC under construction, the idea is to open-up new horizons with possibly the access to a new physics. Indeed, with a colder atomic source, many new experiments will be possible such as the multifractality, Anderson phase transition in 4 dimensions. Besides, the BEC with tunable interactions should allow the introduction of topological and many-body localization (MBL) physics.

b) Cesium experiment

This historical experiment gave us an international reputation. Based on the so-called Kicked Rotor, it has been constantly evolving and improved since its starting in 1998. During the 2013-2018 period, it has been the opportunity for the first observation of 2D Anderson localization with mater waves. New developments allow the possibility to control the system parity-time reversal symmetry. This has been the opportunity for the observation of the enhanced return to the origin probability (ERO), as well as of the first observation ever made of the coherent forward scattering process (CFS), and more.
